Mariela Studio is designed with appreciation and sense of nostalgia in mind. We aim to create limited pieces with special/thought provoking prints also designed by Mariela Martínez through a series of analysis and iterations of a studies on Puerto Rico. Each piece added needs to maintain the same standard in quality and construction. We don’t believe in mass production. We put our efforts into small quantities or in demand making to reduce landfill waste. Our prints are also done digitally to minimize the waste of ink/water. We understand that the fashion industry produces around 10% of the world’s carbon emissions and is a huge protagonist of our ocean’s pollution. We are slowly learning about other means to become more sustainable as a brand and educate others about the negative global implications the fashion industry has.
